When it comes to learning and using Tarot I get many questions from my students and from those just purchasing Tarot Decks from my shoppe. I started my Tarot journey reading books until I found my first Tarot Teacher. Since that time I have taken three Tarot certification courses, read countless books, and attended many workshops. There are so many aspects of Tarot that I am constantly learning and growing with the art of cartomancy. One question I am asked a lot is, "Can I just learn Tarot from the white guidebook that comes in the deck?" I will not say it is or isn't possible however, many of the books are not as extensive as taking a course, attending a workshop, pulling daily cards, or reading a book. Most of the white books that come in the Tarot Decks have the general definitions of the cards both upright and reversed. I have purchased some Tarot Decks that don't contain a guidebook. If you happen to purchase one of those decks you won't have a guide...
I am constantly asked about candle magic. The biggest thing I am asked is typically about how the candle melted or lack of melting. Most recently a client, did a jar spell and indicated that " The candle didn't melt well, it wasn't nearly as drippy ". This particular client then left their cast circle to search for a candle to make the candle "drippy" and "melt well". Will this spell work for this client? No. This is because they had high expectations for the way they wanted the candle wax to "look" and to "melt". They wanted the candle wax to be "drippy". I have had clients play with their wax because the candle was melting asymmetrically and they wanted it to melt symmetrically. There are also the spells that the candle melted too fast or two slow. In one situation, the client sent me a picture but had chipped away at the "unwanted" wax melts. They said that the spell didn't work in addition t...
Recently in an online Pagan, Witchcraft and Wicca group a member had posted how happy she was at completing an online study program for Wicca. Which is a huge accomplishment to complete any educational program. Unfortunately, in any online group there are negative people who will find the worst in most anything posted. Many of those in this group were saying that it was a scam and you can't get a "degree" in Wicca. In addition they critiqued the credentials of the teachers and creators of the program. The sad part is that, here is someone just starting out with the practice. What struck me as sad was the amount of the occult community that were negatively saying you shouldn't study online classes. What I find sad about the negative criticism that was instead of encouraging learning it was a deterrent to learning online. Not only that many prestigious witches in the Occult community teach online classes and have schools in which you can learn and grow withi...
